Three Year Cycle

History of compliance with legislative and NZQA requirements being met or exceeded
And
Quality objectives and intended outcomes are met or exceeded
And
Evidence of high effectiveness is readily available
And
Robust internal audit and self-review processes, independent of the Authorities external audit, are operating, the findings of which are acted on
And
Evidence of effective relationships with external stakeholders

Kokiri Marae Keriana Olsen Trust is current on a (3) Three year audit cycle. NZQA 2002 Summary Statement.

“The Trust is governed and managed through a whanau management system that permeates every aspect of the organizations operations. The Trusts Boards formal meetings (3 to 4 times a year) are supplemented with regular daily or weekly contact at the marae. The Trust and management have developed systems that enable the organization to meet legislative and regulatory requirements without compromising its commitment to the retention of Maori language, traditions, customs and protocols in a learning environment and the recognition of the provisions of the Treaty of Waitangi.” NZQA 2005 Summary Statement. “At this audit (2005), the Trust met all requirements of QA Standard One. The Trust has a sound history of compliance and has integrated kaupapa and strategic direction with the requirements of learners, stakeholders, and funding and regulatory bodies into well-managed operating systems.”
